Artist Bio:
I was born in Russia, and immigrated to the USA when I was 10 years old. I've created art since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I remember as a child of 3 or 4 deciding that I didn't like coloring books because I much preferred to create my own artwork.

Being artistic was always a part of who I was, and I've had many opportunities to express it throughout my life. I've had several novels published under a pen name, and I've dabbled in scrapbooking and was accepted onto multiple scrapbooking design teams for top companies in the industry, and had many of my creations published in magazines. Currently, I have been concentrating on painting and customizing Blythe dolls.  I've made my home in Delaware, where I live with my husband and two children, and our little furry friends.

About the Art:
I am inspired by the surrealism, fantasy, and lowbrow art movements, and my art fits the most into these genres. However, I've long been inspired by everything from illustrations in childhood books, to Botticelli, the Pre-Rafaelites, and so much more. Since I was a small child, I've loved wandering through museums and perusing art history books. The modern "big-eye" paintings resonated with me because they reminded me of my own paintings that emerged naturally when I was a child, that evolved into my own unique style as an adult.

About Lavish Studio Blythe:
In 2018, I discovered Blythe dolls and fell in love! I quickly became a Blythe collector of "stock" dolls and immediately jumped into the customization process. I love everything from carving, to adding charms, to doing the makeup and styling the hair. Each step of the way is something fun and new, but the best part is when everything is completed, the last pieces put together, and a new girl is "born".
